Angels in Uniform

Today's teaching wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be! Thank goodness. The kids were prettay well behaved - I guess you could call it their morning fatigue. But the school laptop's so screwed, it lags like MAD.

This morning, while I was walking to school with my cousin, we ventured on to talking about the time where I took over his class. He was visibly cringing when he said," You were damn Act when you were teaching my class man, I swear. Gave me goosebumps la!" I found it very amusing; I guess he's never seen me in my teacher-teacher mode, not that I've seen myself in that mode for a very long time either.

I relented and gave a class an open book test today. They were awfully thankful. I guess I am too, because I know how much I would have liked that when I was a student. I guess relief teachers kinda bend the rules more, like how Atikah and I brought the students to the com lab and we let them play games... with the sound blasting. Until they finally found a way to turn it off.

I didn't realise that Marley & Me had a substantial amount of sexual references within the first half hour, enough for my students to think I'm showing them a rated show, they're lower secondary some more. I should start getting Ratatouille or Nemo -.-

Damn, I don't wanna waste my time going for the STB thingy. Yes, it's a thingy more than an interview. I have ideas for my presentation but I'm just so freaking lazy. And I'm not gonna get it anyway, so what's the point.

Bing Sheng convinced me of that today. Haha, it was really random, he just came over and chatted. O and I keep seeing Alex in the corridors, somehow, very frequently. And he looks at him, I look at him, we both sigh... And exchange a wry glance. Yes, teachers can identify.

Once again, if you think relief teaching is so damn slack, PLEASE THINK AGAIN. But I gotta admit, I still find it fun~! =D There're those dearies everywhere about in each class that make your (otherwise terribly) exhausting day bearable.
