The latest I've slept in for over a week now is 9.30am, and that's on a Good day. Ugh.
Anyway, this is what I've been up to.
Last TUESDAY: Just tuition and packing of my bags for Sports Camp the next day! The name of my group is WONDER WOMAN! Yes, see picture below, lol!

Sports Camp!!! =D I managed to squeeze 4D/3N worth of stuff into a camping backpack, so there I was, hunched like a tortoise with that huge haversack perched on my back. We gathered at the Sports Hall and there were ice-breakers to help hack away the aloofness that newly acquainted strangers share. We played several games, but I can only remember a couple like 'Drinking Goggles' (as the name suggests, is usually played during drinking games) and a running game which never ends.
We had to stand in a huge circle and form pairs by linking arms, and there would be a runner and a catcher. The runner would have to run to a couple within the circle and lock arms with one of the persons within the couple before the catcher touches him. If the catcher touches him before he succeeds, the runner and catcher switches roles. If not, the '3rd person' in the couple has to become the runner and so the game continues. Somehow, I got to be the catcher for quite a long period of time. Just lovely.
Afterwhich, they brought us to where we would be sleeping for the night: Seminar Rooms (SR)! Because SMU has no hostel for us, so we had to make do with it. Not that it's bad, there's air-con and chairs with backrests that serve as nice pillows.
Our first stop was dragon boating @ Kallang Basin. Cool stuff huh. There're 10 boats with 20 people each so we had 2 rounds of heats, where each heat would see 5 boats competing. My boat came in 2nd for the first heat. But thanks to me, since I had my final round of the PUB/NEA scholarship interview, they had to row back all the way to the dock to drop me off. By then, I swear everyone in the boat were mad tired. As I learned later on, my team got last in the finals. Oops* My bad :(
The interview timings, as usual, were screwed and I waited half an hour after my stipulated timing before it came to my turn. There were 6 or 7 people interviewing me but they didn't try to put me in a spot or anything like that, so it's good. But then again, I didn't do spectacularly. Oh well, Heck =D I joined my team afterwards at the cage near Kallang to play floorball and I did a double take when I saw just how red each and every one of them were from being under the sun the entire afternoon playing a whole variety of other sports.
They chartered a bus to bring us back to school, and we bathed in the gym toilets. And anyway, the school's gym just looks damn power-packed! After dinner, they screened 'The Haunting in Connecticut' in an attempt to scare us before we were to set off to Fort Canning to solve a 'crime'. There would be clues pasted at random places in the park, as well as random ghosts roaming the vicinity and we were supposed to ask these souls questions to help us solve the crime. Fort Canning is actually really pretty at night, a romantic place to be... if not for the ubiquitous mosquitoes! One ghost, with face painted deathly white and a freaky doll clutched in his hand, silently crept up behind me and my shrieks in turn scared everyone within a 1 metre radius. That seriously put me on high alert. Eventually, as the night wore on, it became evident that the crime was pretty unsolvable because there were too many suspects, too many murder locations, and too many weapons of murder. Oh whatever. At least we made the mosquitoes' day!
Last THURSDAY: Today's the day of the Amazing Race. We had to complete a Sudoku puzzle and clock 8 miles on those running bikes in the gym, and my group was done with that pretty quickly 'cos we had gym buffs in our midst! This is one of them, Dharma! His biceps would seriously wow.

Our next stop was at the Asia Pacific Breweries, where we had a choice of Tiger, Heineken, coke, sprite or water, F.O.C! It's one of the sponsors of the camp. I tired Heineken, and it wasn't so bad. One of my faci downed at least 5 glasses of beer, he's mad about drinking. Luckily he's blessed, since he doesn't get drunk easily. He's just on a perpetual high, which is so him. His name, is Eugene!

At Kallang, we played Tennis and Squash. Lunch, then off to our next stop which is the KIA Showroom. After which, we made our way back to Changi Beach where we were gonna camp for the night. After supper at Changi Village, they decided to have a little stroll at Old CGH. It was my very first time there and I was kinda apprehensive because the visage of the building just spells haunted. After settling the group count, and the backing out of a few people, in we went...
This was my partner Benjamin in my virgin walk into Old CGH, as you can see, he's so tanned and he had to wear black that night of the walk as well. Luckily he was carrying a torch!

Back to the campsite, I couldn't stand being inside the tent even for a moment. To think 4 people would have to sleep together, uggh, murder! The guys in my team brought their sleeping bags to the pavement where it was so much cooler and I followed suit. It wasn't dangerous or anything because the whole place was infested with us campers! There, I finally went into slumber (:
Shyanne...

and Steph (:

Last FRIDAY: Today's the continuation of the Amazing Race. Our first stop was at Sentosa, where we did touch rugby, handball, basketball, volleyball, and a little bit of running and swimming. Then it was Archery. And finally, the long awaited Cable Ski! =D We were only able to do the one where we kneeled on the boards, instead of being upright on our two feet. Still, the experience was super. And I completed an entire round! YAY! Everyone should have a go at it, so you'll know it's sure as hell not as easy as it looks.
Dinner at school was buffet style and drinking followed. They converted one SR into a clubbing arena and I watched by the sidelines, it's so weird seeing how people behave under the influence of alcohol. I played a much healthier drinking game in another SR, but that didn't last very long too. For the large part of it, I was just around watching people sprint to the toilets before their puke wanted out. I went with a couple of friends to have Rochor towhuay at 2.30am, HEH*
Last SATURDAY: I heard a lot of people got wasted the night before, ha ha. Today, we moved around school doing karate, bossaball (nothing else would give you such a HIGH! lol!), taekwando, muay thai, capoiera (go google!), table tennis, cheerleading, fencing, and finally Lunch! Then we had a very random game of water bomb on the campus green before everyone went to clean up for debrief.
We had a fashion parade segment for the debrief so here's my faci Baoqi and Eugene looking respledent. Eugene was supposed to be in a black, tight fitting corset la!
