Walking Marathon

I walked A LOT today. Since I gotta get my academic papers certified by the college, I had to walk there to give it to the General Office to do the necessary admin work. And then walked back again to collect it an hour later. So in the midst, I was busy filling in my Uni application. Actually come to think of it, it’s pretty fun to submit my papers to the various educational institutions – even overseas ones! I get to put my certificates in brown folders and mail them away, super fun! And I paste my own stamps! Awww, how many of you have actually even touched a stamp in the past six months of your life?

I was so busy the whole morning walking back and fro that I had to postpone the meeting time with L twice! And I was still a tad late! So we headed down to Tanjong Pagar to help my dad pick up some petrol vouchers and that’s where I saw LAU PA SA! It’s been so friggin’ long since I last stepped into that place – it’s changed drastically. Or perhaps my memory’s just been failing me because I don’t remember it looking like that. They even have a raised podium at the centre for live bands to display their music, pretty funky I would think. And I had this Korean food over there – the China lady lied. She said the chicken would only be a little spicy, but it turned out I had to gulp down my soup like nobody’s business in order to extinguish that little fiery flame on my tongue! Then again, I think my taste buds are under exposed to spicy food. Oh ya, their butterfly buns are over priced at S$0.80 – I can get really aromatic ones at S$0.60! YEAH, I’m so AUNTY I know. Or if you’re kind enough, you’d say I’m observant!

After we left the hawker centre with joyful tummies, we decided to go laptop hunting! I could actually navigate my way back to the MRT station without much glitch eh! Okay fine, it was pretty straightforward but for a mountain tortoise like me who barely goes to town, it’s something I do get happy over. At Funan Digital IT Mall, it was laptops galore! Pretty exciting to see so many cool gadgets all clustered at one place, but after a while, the excitement wore off because the numerous shops were pretty much carrying the same goods. So I got my kick out of posting weird questions to the salespeople. HAHA! L was watching by the sidelines and he said it was hilarious. He said some of the guys I tormented were getting pretty frustrated! But oh well, at least I’m not their usual customers asking standard fare questions. I got their minds working! Blame it on my dad, I learn by watching him dish out strange out-of-the-world questions to the salespeople who are “fortunate” enough to be able to serve him. That said, it’s not a very common occurrence also. But it was FUN~

After going about in heels all day, I decided to reward myself by purchasing my first ever cup of Starbucks coffee. It’s not my first time trying it because others have been kind enough to treat me to a cup, but this time, I made the transaction! Exciting right -.-

AJ just mentioned he wants to go jogging together! I’ve always wanted a jogging partner because then, it’ll not be as lonely – not that jogging alone is bad because you get time to yourself AND more importantly, you get to jog at your own pace. But he says he’ll suit me, we’ll see. I wouldn’t mind if he decides to soar ahead, commando eh! HAHA =D I’ll be seeing you soon!
