ZEN

Friday: It’s once again the end of the week. There was alumni tuition today, with the inclusion of 3 new students from the upper secondary. No one minded at all because it made us tutors feel useful. In the evening, I would be going to Dom’s much talked about house to take a look. Travun swung by to pick me up at 6.30 and off we go! Dom’s house is one of those Zen homes that is bound to be an eye-turner when you drove along those little winding roads of private estates. It’s nestled snugly amidst a bunch of way smaller semi-detached homes, which just serves to accentuate the gJoyrandeur of his humble abode.

The moment you step into the house, the first thing you’d notice is how the design and colour scheme of his decoration is so beautifully coordinated in his spacious home. And of course, how very immaculate the whole house is; it’s as if it’s a show room. It’s as if every single article in the room has it’s designated ‘seat’, and not one thing is allowed to venture further than it should. EVERYTHING is in order.

And of course, he has this pair of gorgeous huskies, which coincidentally just gave birth to triplets about 10 days ago! The babies are called Lex, Ray and Frost – all males! They haven’t even opened up their eyes, nor can they even stand. But they’re so cuddly, with all that soft fur coating their baby skin. And the way the mother is so alert all the time to her babies’ needs is simply marvellous – it is witnessing motherly instincts kicking in, first-hand.

On to his amenities – he has a swimming pool, a television mounted on a panel that can be swivelled so you can watch TV whether you’re at the dining table or the living room or even in the swimming pool (if you strain your eyes a little), a walk-in wardrobe for his parents, an open air balcony at the roof top with two tables for guests to chill, a wine bar stocked with the finest of alcohol, a full size pool table complete with accessories, a room designated for paying bills, a home theatre system (or perhaps there were two), a sofa that can comfortably sit 14, three cars to share among 4 people... YES, drool. I'm in awe, I admit. And hopefully someday, somehow, I could join them in their crazy sleepovers at his place!

Travun was so busy snoring away on the comfy couch while Dom and I wasted our time away watching ‘Travel & Living’. There’s nothing nice on TV on Fridays, even if you have a spread of over 80 channels like he does. Talk about being really spoilt for choice. Did I mention Dom has his own deep fiery red Jeep-looking MPV that is SO suave? And I got to ride in it when he and Travun sent me home in separate cars ^.^ ooo Yeahh~! Riding in a car that a friend drives is still such a thrilling experience.

That said, Dom has no airs – none to speak of really. Not that I can sense anyway (:
