Day of births!

SATURDAY: I went for my little nephew's year old birthday party yesterday, and here are some of the pictures! My brother is holding on to a balloon that is the same colour as his shirt -.- And there is my Dad holding the ever so adorable Nathan! He is such a handsome fella! But I look so spastic, oh whatever.

In the evening, it was the Changkat Alumni Gathering. I tried to get the class people to come, and some of the seniors as well but they weren't very receptive towards the idea of going, oh well, as least I offered. Anyway, I still enjoyed myself! It's been so darn long since I've been to a campfire. And some of the dances and cheers were just downright hilarious XD

They had segments where they wanted teachers to participate, wahhhhh, I hurry up zao-ed before I could be arrowed. My students were so surprised to find me in school, the look on their faces were priceless ^^ Haha. Quite a couple of the usual bunch of alumni members didn't turn up though, so sad. But I'm sure those who went enjoyed themselves!

I left with a couple of the girls and made my way to Aranda Country Club for Alex's 21st birthday party! Bing Sheng came to walk me up to the chalet unit, which was very kind of him considering the fact that I only knew Alex and him at the birthday party. So pathetic. I just stood there and minded my own business XD I'm happier that way! So there was this photo taking session and Bing Sheng had to go tell Alex's brother to call up Alex's colleagues, which meant just Bing Sheng and myself -.- So embarrassing. And Bing Sheng wanted to let me go up alone some more... Luckily he didn't do that. Heng.

I took 12 home from Downtown East and it's been so long since I've taken such a relatively long bus ride, I was not used to it and the bus ride became very miserable. Firstly, the ride was long, like 40 minutes? The bus was awfully cold. TVM was showing pretty lame stuff. I was feeling damn tired. And there I was listening to all the sad love songs on my MP3, wa lao, I felt so lang bei. I could do nothing but s.t.o.n.e. By the time I reached home, I was so stoned I couldn't really snap out of it. And to think I still slept at 4.30 am! o.O'

SUNDAY: I slept for a mere 3 hours before I had to wake up at 7.30am to prepare for my journey down to Tao Payoh Town Park. I agreed Li Min to help out as one of the contestants for their SOKA Sports Event and they were having a rehersal, hence, I needed to travel all the wayyyyy down. 31 took roughly 45 minutes to get there. Yes, a long ride, but yesterday's jounrney had me acclimatised so I didn't feel like this journey was all that torturous. It also takes a route I've never been on so I was busy gazing at the scenery ^^ It helps to pass time!

I met Jeremy at the Tao Payoh town park as I was about to leave. And because recently, I've been mixing with poeple who speak chinese alot, I've learned to roll out chinese sentences more easily now. So much so, Jeremy asked me since when did I start speaking in chinese, lol. Have I finally succeeded in acquiring the ability to converse in madarin?! Woo hoo!

I took 88 from Tao Payoh all the way to Pasir Ris and the ride took me a whooping 1 hour 20 minutes! But then, I didn't feel it took very long because when I first got on, I started munching on my Hello Panda chocolate cracker. Those little bite size panda pieces kept me busy for a while. After that, I started on my Sudoku. Then when I grew bored of it, I stared out of the window at the scenery and finally, zzzzzzzz, yes I felt a sleep! That helped pass a huge bulk of my time on the bus! Hehhh. I survived a super long bus ride! =D
